Proxies that just work

Professional encoders are powerful, but one wrong setting buried three panels deep and your whole batch is useless. Command line FFmpeg is even more powerful, and even less forgiving. pxf does one thing and does it right.

What pxf Does

pxf converts full resolution video files from professional cameras into lightweight H.264 proxy files your NLE can handle. Drag, drop, and get back edit-ready proxies. That’s it.

Free and Useful

Our free version isn’t crippled. You get unlimited encoding to H.264 or H.265, full-sized or half resolution, with LUT support. Output to QuickTime (.mov) or MPEG-4 (.mp4). pxf Free exports include a pxf watermark.

Unlock the Pro Version

pxf Pro is a one-time purchase. Not a subscription.

$10 unlocks ProRes 444 Proxy and DNxHR LB encoding and MXF exports. It also allows customization of the watermark for your own branding, or a text overlay in place of the default pxf watermark.

Who We Built It For

pxf was built for working camera assistants, editors, and DITs who need proxies without the ceremony. If you’ve ever waited for a professional encoder to finish doing nothing useful, you know why this exists.
